vasovagel syndrome seems to cover a lot of symptoms!

I also have lightheadedness and fainting episodes and was diagnosed with vaso vagus nerve in ER one time. It sounds to me that this lightheadedness is caused by stress, dehydration, lack of sleep...etc. How does that have to do with this nerve?
